Text or email a photo of your items to 0412 974 277 or phil@xtrasharp.com.au. I'll check them, give you a quote and send you the postal address.

Post them in
Wrap each item, put your prepaid return satchel in the box and send it by Registered Post.

Back in 1–3 days
Items are sharpened 1–3 days after they arrive (4–5 days when busy) and posted back in your satchel with tracking.

About Mail-In Sharpening
Mail-in sharpening lets customers across Australia send knives, scissors, animal clipper blades, garden tools and processor blades to Xtra Sharp for professional sharpening without visiting in person. It's ideal for customers outside Campbelltown NSW, or anyone who prefers posting items rather than dropping them off. At Xtra Sharp, items are packed securely, sharpened with the same care as drop-off customers, and returned using tracked Australia Post postage. Most items are ready within 1–3 days of arrival. At busy times it can take 4–5 days, depending on workload. Urgent jobs can be arranged.
How Mail-In Sharpening Works

Contact me first
Confirm what you're sending before you post anything. Text or email a photo of your items so I can check their condition and brand and give you a quote — 0412 974 277 or phil@xtrasharp.com.au.

Pack your items securely
Use soft materials such as tea towels, rags, newspaper, or bubble wrap.

Wrap each item separately
This prevents damage during postage.

Protect blade tips
Make sure blade tips are well wrapped so they cannot punch through the packaging. Fold cardboard over tips or add extra layers of cloth or bubble wrap.

Pack into a strong box
Place your wrapped items inside a strong packing box and pack tightly so they cannot move around.

Include your details
Fill in the Mail-In Form (PDF above) or include your return address, phone number, email address, and any notes about your items inside the box.

Include your return satchel
Include your prepaid Australia Post satchel inside the parcel.

Send by Registered Post
Post your parcel by Australia Post Registered Post so it's tracked and signed for. Full address provided after booking.

Send me your tracking number
Once you've posted it, text or email me your tracking number so I know it's on the way.

Arrival check
Once items arrive, they will be checked for any damage. If something needs extra work or is not suitable for sharpening, I will contact you before proceeding.

Sharpening process
- ✔Water-cooled sharpening: knives, processor blades, garden tools, axes, tomahawks.
- ✔Machine-guided sharpening: scissors, animal clipper blades.

Fast turnaround
1–3 days after arrival (4–5 days when busy).

Sent back in the prepaid Australia Post satchel you include, with tracking.

The correct Australia Post satchel size depends on what you're sending and how many items are included. Please contact me first — I'll confirm the correct satchel size before you post anything.

Payment & Return Postage
Once your items are sharpened, I'll let you know the total. Pay by internet banking or card, then your items are posted back in your prepaid satchel with tracking. Sending valuable or Japanese knives? Consider adding Australia Post Extra Cover when you post them.
